Walking With Bob

The fat head miracle diet

Over 75 percent of us are fat. Woops, I forgot to be socially correct. Over 75 percent of us are obese. Over one in four are morbidly obese. Woops, medically obese. We don’t eat too much, we simply eat the wrong stuff. We blame the obesity disaster on the terrible food industry, but they did not force feed us. We chose to be “brain dead” by continuing to eat junk food.

The big epidemic today Obesity of the Brain, or OOTB. It is not caused by Too Much Information, or TMI. We hear the same low grade unhealthy information too many times.

Last week, a bunch of teenagers crashed a pool party in a town near Dallas. If you never crashed a party as a kid, my advice is to get a life. A cop lost his cool. CNN and Fox and every want to be reporter played the video that was seen over and over by millions of people everywhere. Over worked brains concluded that millions of cops all are pulling their guns and sitting on top teenage girls everywhere in the world.  My advice is to stop watching low grade news reporting. It makes normal people become less intelligent. We let ourselves become “brain washed.” Well, if you can’t quit watching low grade news reporting, you may consider cutting back on TV news to no more than thirty minutes a day.

The brain is a muscle and it needs to be exercised every day. People who walk briskly raise their IQ. Over 2,200 men in the United Kingdom were studied for 35 years. Do you realize how many people spend money on legal and illegal drugs trying to get smarter? Use your brain and walk because it is free and it will keep you out of jail.

People who drink lots of water, eat fresh fruits and vegetables, walk briskly for 20 to 40 minutes, and sleep seven or more hours every day are healthier. The chances of heart and stroke problems, dementia, Alzheimer’s, cancer, etc. etc. are reduced drastically. Obesity and sugar diabetes would practically be eliminated. Our entire economy would change form an atmosphere that accepts sickness, illness and chronic disease to a lifestyle of healthy living.

My brain is in a whirl. We need to work up a” brain sweat.”  Learn a new language, go back to school, run or walk a 5K, get a new hobby, go back to work at a higher energy level. Whew. Are you sweating? I will tell you there are people who make a fortune from obesity of the brain. If you start thinking for yourself and don’t let them take over your brain, they will be out of business.

Here is the start.  Stand up and run in place for 30 seconds. Stop. Take a deep breath. Blow it out. Yawn. Sit down and do what you were doing. You just fed your brain.

Don’t forget to “walk up a sweat” today.
