October Fun

October is a beautiful time
The trees just glisten, glitter and shine.
One night may bring a chilling breeze
The next a heat wave, instead of a freeze.
The stores are filled with masks and such
With fairies, ghosts and tricks by the bunch.
The children dress and just can’t wait
From house to house, a steady gait.
“Trick or Treat” they yell in fun
Get their treat, then on they run!
With bags of treats, tired and home bound
They rush on in and settle down.
The children know this is just fun
The ghost and goblin time is done.
Just say your prayers and jump in bed
Thanking God for blessings and the fun you’ve had.
