Services for Joanne Marie Gabel Davis, 46, of Grand Saline, were held May 23, 2016, at Bartley Funeral Home with Bro. Homer Morgan officiating.

Mrs. Davis died May 19, 2016.  She was born June 21, 1969, in Livermore, Calif., to Robert and Anna O’Reilly Gabel.  She spent her early years in Plano, five years in California, two years in Forney, and then the last two and one half years in Grand Saline. 

She was a homemaker. 

She was preceded in death by her mother.

Survivors include her husband, James S. Davis of Grand Saline; father, Robert J. Gabel of St. Louis, Mo.; son, Preston Scott Davis and his fiancé Shelby Morgan of Lindale; daughter, Katie Davis of Grand Saline; two brothers, Robert Gabel and his wife Kate of Marion, Iowa, and James Gabel and his wife Jan of Richardson; two sisters, Sharon Buchanan and her husband Larry of St. Louis, Mo., and Barbara Lippert and her husband Robert of Flemington, N.J.; father-in-law and mother-in-law, James and Virginia Davis of Wills Point; and numerous other relatives and friends.
