Tom Perry

1968-2016

Private services were held for Tom Perry, 48, of Canton, June 12, 2016. 

He died June 8, 2016, in Tyler, at the Hospice of East Texas.  

Mr. Perry was born May 26, 1968, in Memphis, Tenn. to Thomas and Erika Perry.

He worked for 10 years as the animal control officer for the City of Canton. He previously worked as a chef for the Kentucky State Park system and was twice selected as a chef to cook breakfast at the Kentucky Derby.

He loved fishing, hunting, painting vehicles, and his five dogs.  He moved from Tennessee in 2003 and made Canton his home.  He loved to cook and shared his talent by cooking for friends and family.

He is preceded in death by his father.

He is survived by his son, Tommy and Danielle Perry of Cadiz, Ky; grandchildren, Nicholas, David, and Lucas; mother, Erika Perry of Cadiz, Ky; and brother, Timmy and Donna Perry of Cadiz, Ky. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canton Animal Shelter or CLAW.
