R.D. Dean
1937-2016
R. D. (Relmond Dean) was born on Dec. 10, 1937, in Martins Mill to O. K. Halbrook and Ruby (Johnson) Halbrook. He entered his Heavenly Home Aug. 1, 2016.
Services were held Aug. 6, 2016, at New Hope Funeral Home in Sunnyvale. The family welcomed friends and loved ones Aug. 5 at the funeral home.
Mr. Dean served four years in the United States Air Force. He became a licensed Real Estate Broker in 1970 and enjoyed helping folks find the home of their dreams and made many friends along the way.
He also worked as foreman and superintendent for several large construction companies such as Hill & Wilkerson and CECO.
He was a loving husband, dad and grandpa (Bampa), devoted to his family and friends. His strong faith and encouraging spirit was a true inspiration to all. Although he is no longer here with us, his presence will remain in our hearts forever. He will be missed dearly.
He is survived by the love of his life, wife, Marlene Halbrook; daughters, Teri (Don) Holamon, Tami (Austin) Curry and Dana (James) Tidwell; granddaughters, Jessica (Clint) Eaton, Abigail Curry, Christian Tidwell, Brittney Tidwell and Brooklyn Tidwell; grandsons, Adam (Stephanie) Lattanzi, Andrew Lattanzi, Austin (Marissa) Curry, Seth Grugle, Trevor Grugle and Brandon Grugle; great grandson, Luca Lattanzi; brother, Donnie (Patricia) Halbrook; sisters, Jean Schwenter of Michigan and Carol Ann (Robert) Parks of Garland; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kermit and Ruby Halbrook.
Interment will be in New Hope Memorial Gardens, Sunnyvale.
