1941-2016

Royce Ray Jameson, 74, died Aug. 18, 2016, in Humble.

Mr. Jameson was born in Roxton on Oct.16, 1941, the son of the late Walter Ray Jameson and Iva Thomas Jameson.

He enjoyed gardening and fishing. He also enjoyed sitting on the porch and enjoying the outdoors.

He served in the U.S. Navy from 1960 to 1964 aboard the USS Hancock as an electrician’s mate.

He worked for over 30 years for Lowe’s and Ace Hardware. Customers would ask for him and seek out his advice on projects. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. 

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his sons, Robert Jameson and his wife, Lana, Walter Jameson and his wife Regina and Michael Jameson and his wife Samantha. In addition he leaves his sister, Juanita Roseberry, nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A graveside service was held Aug. 24, 2016, at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr., Houston.

A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday Aug. 25at First United Methodist Church, 600 S. Buffalo St., Canton.
