Ready, set, fly away

It was a bright, warm Labor Day morning for the annual Van Zandt Veterans Memorial balloon release.
Turnout was low, yet the balloons were plentiful.
Balloons were released by members of the Veteran’s Memorial, Boy Scouts, and visitors.
Each balloon was tagged with a note explaining the veteran it represented and asking that the finder “say a prayer for this family” and let the VZ veteran’s group know the location the balloon was found.
