Funeral services for Joel Ethan Dockery, 43, of Wills Point were held Friday, Feb. 10 , 2017, at Lakeside He passed away Feb. 6, 2017, in Tyler. A graveside service was held Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017, at East View Memorial Cemetery in Vernon.

He was born Aug. 13, 1973, in Freeport to Thomas Gene Dockery and Wanda Marie Barnes.

He graduated from North Side High School in Vernon. He was a strong Christian man who lived his life serving others. He had a great love for God and his family. He enjoyed traveling across the country in his truck, fishing, and helping people in need.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Hubert and Alene Barnes, and Orville and Marie Dockery.

He is survived by his parents, Thomas and Wanda Dockery; brother, Eric and Ginger Dockery; twin sister, Kara and David Christine; nephews, J.D. Christine, Ryan Christine, and Murray Leith; niece, Allyson Dockery.
