Clifford Henry Gibbs

1939-2017

Services for Clifford Henry Gibbs, 77, Canton, were held Saturday, April 15, 2017, at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton with the Rev. Jason Pointer officiating.

He passed away April 9, 2017, in Tyler. Interment followed at Haven of Memories.

He was born June 17, 1939, in Van Zandt County to Ernest Earl Gibbs and Tillie Mae Tidwell.

He grew up in Van Zandt and Dallas Counties. He graduated from W.W. Samuels High School in Dallas. While in school, he met Monna Rae Graham and they were married Sept. 10, 1960. They lived in Dallas before moving to Missouri in 1970. He worked for Ford Motor Company as a line foreman for 30 years before retiring and moving to Canton. He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing and playing golf in his spare time.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 56 years, Monna Rae Gibbs; and brother, James Gibbs.

He is survived by his son, Scott and Lisa Gibbs; daughters, Cydnie and Donald Rutledge, and Paige and Whitney Norton; grandchildren, Shannon, Brittany,  Amber, Brett, Madi and Ali; great-grandchildren, Isaac, Eric and Jake; and brothers, Truman, Doyle, Roger and Jarrett.
