Sue Chaney Terpening

Funeral services for Sue Chaney Terpening, 85, of Van, were held Saturday, May 27, 2017, at Eubank Funeral Chapel in Canton with Bro. Mark Carter officiating. Interment followed in Haven of Memories.

Mrs. Terpening passed away Thursday, May 25, 2017, in Canton.

She was born Jan. 20, 1932, to the late James Calvin and Nora Lee Ball Higdon.

She was a member of Colfax Baptist Church. She was a giver to the community, a provider to the public and always willing to help others in need.

She is preceded in death by her husbands, Houston Chaney and Nolan Terpening; step-son, Dennis Chaney; and seven brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her three sons, Larry Dewberry of Arlington, Roger Dewberry of Van, and Tim Chaney and wife, Nanci of Tyler; daughter, Regina Campbell and husband, Al of Canton; eleven grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be given to Colfax Baptist Church Benevolence fund.
