Services for Finnis Lee Gordon, 77, of Canton, were held Thursday, June 15, 2017, under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Truett and Bro. David Yarbrough officiating. Interment followed in Turner Cemetery in Emory. Mr. Gordon passed away June 11, 2017, in Athens.

He was born May 2, 1940, in Emory to Homer Finnis and Vertis Onita Meek Gordon.

He was was a member of Brookside Baptist Church, the Hereford Cattle Association and the Union Local #745. He was a truck driver and farmer.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gene Edward Gordon; and a grandson, Corton Thomas Brown.

He is survived by his wife, Beth Gordon; daughters, Janis Lee Stanley, Tammie LeAnn Anderson, Terri Elaine Brown and Craig, Brenda Nell Rosemond and Larry; son, Farron Wayne Gordon; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; brothers, Stanley and Pat Gordon and John and Mary Gordon; sisters, Sandra and Don Cowan and Mary and Mike Reed; uncle and aunt, Bob and Betty Meek; many cousins, other relatives and friends.
