Funeral services for Carl A. Smith, 73, Winnsboro, were held Friday, June 30, 2017, at Beaty Funeral Home with Bro. David Harrell conducting. Interment followed at Hopewell Cemetery. Mr. Smith passed away Sunday, June 25, 2017, in Winnsboro.

He was born Feb. 24, 1944, in Lillie, La. to John Smith and Delma Wall Smith. He was a retired executive VP with Monsanto Chemical Company and a member of Hopewell Baptist Church. He loved restoring BMW micro cars and was a graduate of Louisiana Tech University.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Winford Smith, and Vernon Smith and wife, Nancy Barron Smith.
Survivors include his wife, Susan Smith of Winnsboro; son, Bryan Smith and wife, Allison of San Antonio; daughters, Vikki Migoya and husband, David of Denver, Sondra Gates of Newhall, Iowa and Kari Manning and husband, Shawn of St. Louis, Mo.; step-son, Andrew Vaughn and wife, Valerie of Canton; step-daughter, Heather Gilbreath and husband, Jason of Sulphur Springs; brother, Lyle Smith of Fayetteville, Ark.; and twelve grandchildren, Aiden, Alexander, Claire, Andrew, Harrison, Emersyn, Chloe, Caleb, Jessica, Sam, Kate and Bella.
Pallbearers were Bryan Smith, David Migoya, Shawn Manning, Gary Williams, Joe Dan Coe and Randy Harrell.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Christian Family Services in St. Louis, Mo.
