Services for Mike McBride, 69, of Canton were held Sunday, March 26, 2017, at Eubank Funeral Chapel in Canton with Bro. Craig Locke officiating.

He passed away Thursday, March 23, 2017, in Tyler.

He was born March 12, 1948, in Wills Point to Grady Wendell McBride and Amy Ruth Wade McBride.

Claudia Jean Atchison

1954-2017

Services for Claudia Jean Atchison, 62, of Canton, were held Wednesday, April 5, 2017, at Haven of Memories in Canton with Bro. Steve Glosup officiating.

She passed away March 30, 2017, in Tyler.

She was born July 30, 1954, in Dallas to Albert Lawrence Wahlstrom and Lois Geraldine Moyer.

She grew up in Irving and later moved to Canton where she graduated from Canton High School. She served four years in the Navy as a Navy Coreman. After her time in the military, she became a nurse.

She was a loving wife, mother and friend who touched the lives of many people with just her smile. Her laugh and loving personality will be missed by all.

Survivors include her husband, Donald Ray Floyd; son, Jesse and Rachelle Peltz; daughter, Shannon Peltz; and sisters, Donna Corbbit and Deborah Wahlstrom.

Bobby Eugene Starnes

1932 - 2017

Bobby (Bob) Eugene Starnes, 84, of Flint, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, April 2, 2017.

He was born the sixth child of a sharecropper to Barney Starnes and Cora Mae Hawkins Starnes on Oct. 9, 1932, near Wills Point, where he graduated high school in the class of 1950.

He played football at Henderson County Junior College and North Texas Teachers College, and graduated from Dallas Institute of Mortuary Science. He served as a funeral director in Lamesa, Dallas, Fort Worth, and Canton.

Betty Clower

1932-2017

Services for Betty June Clower, 84, of Grand Saline, were held Thursday, March 30, 2017, at Eubank Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Fisher officiating.

She passed away Saturday, March 25, 2017, in Terrell.

She was born Oct. 21, 1932, in Grand Saline to John Henry Fisher and Jettie Laurecy Daniels.

Barbara Harbord

1951-2017

Memorial services for Barbara Gay Swann Harbord, 65, of Canton are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, April 8, 2017, at St. Justin Episcopal Church in Canton.

She passed away on March 5, 2017, in Tyler.

She was born May 7, 1951, in Corpus Christi to Roy Gilbert Swann and Norma Alice Morrison Swann.

Annie Melvin

Services for Annie Ruth Boyles Melvin, 78, of Grand Saline, were held Wednesday, March 29, 2017, at Bartley Funeral Home with Bro. Donnie Herring officiating.

Interment followed in Creagleville Cemetery.

She passed away March 24, 2017, at her home in Grand Saline.

 She was born Sept. 18, 1938 in Grand Saline. 

Jessie Williams

Services for Jessie Williams, 83, of Fruitvale, were held Monday, March 13, 2017, at Bartley Funeral Home, with Bro. Eddie Paul Stanley officiating. Interment followed at Grove Hill Memorial Park, Dallas.

Earl McDermott

1920-2017

Services for Earl McDermott, 96, of Fruitvale, were held Friday, March 24, 2017, at Main Street Baptist Church with Dr. Bruce Smilie officiating under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home.

Interment was in Woodside Cemetery.

Mr. McDermott passed away March 20, 2017, in Grand Saline. 

Doylene Fuller

1945-2017

Services for Doylene (Doye) Fuller, 72, of Canton, were held Saturday, March 25, 2017, at Eubank Funeral Home, Canton, with Bro. Ronnie Daniell officiating. Interment followed in Haven of Memories.

Mrs. Fuller passed away March 21, 2017, at her home in Canton. She was born Jan. 8, 1945, to the late Doyle Alvin Davis and Joelene Hutton Davis Neel.
