Wanda Wilbanks, (Mrs.Wanda), age 84, died peacefully on July 8, 2016 at her home in Canton. She was born July 20th, 1932, in Gadsden, Ala., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Lumpkin.

In 1964 she married the love of her life, Edward "Red" Wilbanks. They moved to Canton in 1966 where she worked at Canton Elementary school for many years.

She is preceded in death by her husband; four brothers, Ronnie, Courtney, Leon, and Durwood Lumpkin and son, Rex Haywood.

She is survived by her sister, Jo Muskett; brother, Jimmy Lumpkin; daughter, Brenda Hughes; son, Rodney Haywood; grandchildren, Daffoni Jeane, Misti Fannin, Amber Haywood, Ryan Haywood and Andrew Haywood; great grandchildren, Joshua Chapa, Korbyn Wilson, Cole Peters, Nikki Fannin, Reed Fannin, Maci Haywood, Tyler Haywood and Molly Haywood and great great granddaughter, Riley Chapa.

Graveside services for Travis Marcine Hanna, 82, of Ben Wheeler were held Thursday, July 7, 2016 at Haven of Memories Memorial Park in Canton under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home.

Mr. Hanna died Sunday, July 3, 2016, at his home in Ben Wheeler.

He was born June 24, 1934, in Ben Wheeler to Travis Herman and Lois Slayton Hanna.

He grew up in Ben Wheeler and attended school in Van where he graduated from Van High School. He moved to Dallas for 20 years where he worked as a carpenter and raised his family. He moved back to East Texas and eventually settled back in his hometown. He was Baptist by faith and enjoyed sports, hunting, fishing and raising cattle.

Graveside services for Sylvia Shuttles Ogletree, 87, Ben Wheeler, were held Friday, July 8 at Hillcrest Cemetery, Canton, with Rev. Steve Glossup officiating, under the direction of Hilliard Funeral Home, Van.

Mrs. Ogletree died on July 5, 2016 at her home.

Robert “Bob” John Bolen of Canton passed away peacefully at his home Friday, July 1, 2016 after a two and a half year battle with pancreatic cancer. 

Mr. Bolen was born Dec. 7, 1939 in Vallejo, Calif. to Carrie and Clarence Bolen.  He attended Pineville High School and McNeese State College in Louisiana.  He served in the U.S. Army at Ft. Chaffee.  He taught high school band in Baton Rouge, Crowley, and Vinton, La.  He spent most of his adult life in Shreveport working at Equifax, First American Claim Service, and the last ten years in Canton as a vendor at First Monday Canton.

Services for Mozelle Moore, 95, of Tyler were held Saturday July 9, 2016, at Willowbrook Baptist Church in Tyler with Bro. Lloyd McCaskill officiating under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home in Canton.

Interment was in Haven of Memories Memorial Park in Canton.

Mrs. Moore died July 4, 2016, in Tyler.

She was born April 23, 1921, in Vernon to Earl Davis and Katie Ethyl Tole.

She was a member of Willowbrook Baptist Church in Tyler.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, J.D. Moore; and grandchildren, Deana Lynn Batey and Tracy Lynn Guinn.

Memorial services for John Rodney Boland are scheduled for 4 pm Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at the Eubank Funeral Chapel in Canton with Bro. Steve Glosup officiating.

Mr. Boland died June 29, 2016 in Dallas.  He was born May 31, 1945 in Dallas to John Alexander and Jannia Lou Posey Boland. 

He was a member of the Jackson Baptist Church.  He served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War.  He was a teacher and principal for Searcy I.S.D. for a number of years before retiring.  He moved to Canton in 1993 to take care of his mother.  He liked to play golf, watch TV, do wood work and sing Gospel songs. 

Mr. Boland is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Alex Boland.

Born on life's highway March 5, 1996 and died on the Jamestown highway (VZCR 1805) June 20, 2016, as a passenger in a truck/tree accident. Funeral arrangements for Jeffery Lee Jones were held by Hilliard Funeral Home in Van on June 25, 2016 - Awaiting our Lord's Resurrection at Elm Grove Cemetery, Mabank. Jeff Siemens officiated.

God gave Jeffery a gift to make people laugh and he always knocked it out of the park. His family nickname was "Jeffro." He attended Van High School and graduated from the Texas NG Challenge Academy (2013) a year ahead of his class.

Rose Mary Butler Hock, “Rosie,” passed away on June 28, 2016, in Denton. Funeral services were held Friday, July 1, 2016, at the Eubank Funeral Chapel in Canton.  Interment was in Old Bethel Cemetery. 

Ms. Hock was born on July 20, 1949, in Lewisville to parents Aaron and Dorothy Butler.  She graduated from Lewisville High School in 1969.

She always had a smile on her face.  She was one of the kindest women you ever met.  She hardly forgot a name and chances are she knew not only your first name but your entire name and when talking to you she would make that known. Her interest included spending time with her family, country music and writing letters to family and “pen-pals.”

Mary Louise (Beymer) Bubar, died peacefully on June 22, 2016.  She was born in Monument, Ore., on Dec. 24, 1930, to William Lester Beymer and Reba Louise Johnson.

She met her late husband, Hudson Howard Bubar, and they were married on Jan. 22, 1951.

Mrs. Bubar led a full and active life with three children, Mary Kim (Bubar) Walker, Hudson H (Kip) Bubar III, and Karol L. Mabry. 

As a devoted wife and mother, she found her greatest joy while surrounded by family and friends. She and her late husband, Hudson H. Bubar moved to Cambridge, N.Y. after he retired from the Navy. There, she worked as a listing agent for Jerome E. Wright; served on the Cambridge Valley Rescue Squad and drove school bus for Cambridge Central School.

Later, she and Hudson owned the Cambridge Taxi before moving first to Slidel, La., and later to Canton.
