Services for Erma J. Welch, 80, of Canton were held Jan. 7, 2015, at Eubank Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Glosup officiating.  Interment was in Haven of Memories in Canton.

Mrs. Welch was born May 2, 1935, in Upland, Calif. to John and Josephine Sockwell Foster.

She died Jan. 2, 2016, in North Richland Hills.

She was a Christian by faith. She loved fishing and had several trophies to prove it. When she wasn’t fishing, she enjoyed playing croquet, farkle, and painting china and stained glass. She enjoyed old characters like Tom Selleck, Roy Rogers, and Dale Evans. She was also a member of the Laurel and Hardy Fan Club.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Josephine Foster; husband, Borden Taylor; and husband, Bill Welch.

Services for Ella Ruth Phillips Belcher, 73, of Mabank, were held Dec. 31, 2015, at Eubank Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Glosup officiating.

Mrs. Belcher died Dec. 27, 2015, in Mabank.

She was born on Oct. 11, 1942, to John Henry and Maudie Thompson Phillips.

She was a Baptist by faith. She enjoyed watching sports especially, football, baseball and golf. She played basketball in school and also played in softball leagues in her early adult life. She loved to sew, and she worked at City Cleaners in Mabank for many years as a seamstress. 

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Hobby and JoNell Phillips; brother, Henry Lee Phillips; great-grandchild, Joseph Meyer; and great-grandchild, Kali May.

Bruce Darrell Shelton was born Oct. 15, 1967, in Dallas. He died Dec. 25, 2015, in Dallas. 

Mr. Shelton graduated from West Mesquite High School in 1986.  He attended Texas A&M and Richland College.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Inez and Leroy White, Frances Umpleby and Bill Shelton.  He is survived by his parents, Ronnie and Cleta Shelton; brother, Randy and Lori Shelton; nephews, Jordan and Cameron; uncle, Carl and Virginia Shelton; aunts, Faye Walls and Novell and Gordon Allen; great-aunt, Irene Wells; and numerous cousins and friends. 

As per his wishes, there will be no services.  Burial of his remains will be at Starr Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Starr Cemetery, P.O. Box 1162, Canton TX 75103 or to a charity of your choice.

Memorial services for Vincent Ross Reed was held Dec. 21, 2015, at First Baptist Church of Canton with Bro. Mike Roberson officiating.

Mr. Reed was born Sept. 26, 1987, in Dallas to Joel Reed and Deanna San Miguel.

He attended Canton ISD where he played football his freshman and sophomore years.  He was an electrician by trade.  He loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, and loved to watch football with his family and friends.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Canton and the Canton Masonic Lodge #141.

Funeral services for Thomas "Red" Childers, 90, of Emory, were held Dec. 16, 2015, at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Billy Smith officiated.

A private burial took place after the service at Pilgrims Rest #1 Cemetery in Emory.

Mr. Childers died Sunday morning at Senior Suite Care and Rehab in Emory. He was born June 19, 1925, in Emory.

Memorial services for Janice Wade, 66, of Grand Saline, were held Dec. 20, 2015, at Bartley Funeral Home with Bro. Eddie Paul Stanley officiating.

Mrs. Wade died Dec. 17, 2015, in Tyler.  She was born May 12, 1949, in Ottumwa, Iowa to Carl Henry and Virginia Cravens Ask.  She was raised in Mineola, spent several years in Arlington and had been in Grand Saline since 1980.  She married Tommy Wade on May 19, 2001.  She worked as a supervisor for Morton Salt for 28 years. 

She was preceded in death by her mothers, Virginia Cravens Ask and Helen Louise McClure Ask; father, Carl Henry Ask; nephew, William Ross Collier and brother-in-law, Buzz Collier.

Services for Fatonia “Toni” Marie Heard , 75, of Canton, were held Thursday, Dec. 17, 2015, at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton with Bro. Steve Glosup officiating.

She died Dec. 15, 2015, in Canton.

Mrs. Heard was born Dec. 4, 1940, in Dallas.

She married her loving husband Aug. 1, 1958.

She was a member of First Baptist Church of Canton. She was an established artist and antique dealer. She loved to paint and embroider. Ms. Heard was a very intelligent person who taught Cub Scouts and was a Sunday school teacher.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Cam and Olga Herring; and son, Chris Heard.

Services for Bobby Pearson, 79, of Grand Saline, were held Dec. 21, 2015, at Bartley Funeral Home with Kyle White officiating. Interment was in Creagleville Cemetery.

Mr. Pearson died Dec. 19, 2015, in Grand Saline.   He was born April 16, 1936, in Fruitvale to Willie Lee and Esther Beatrice Reader Pearson.  He was a lifelong resident of the Grand Saline/Fruitvale area where he graduated from Grand Saline High School in 1953 and was a member of Grand Saline Church of Christ.  He served in the U.S. Army for two years and worked as a butcher.

 He was preceded in death by his parents; and one son, David Pearson.

Vidal Trejo Hernandez was born Sept. 25, 1933, in Sabino Grande, Jalpan de Serra.

He married Margarita Ledsma Medina on Jan. 14, 1956.  From this union 11 children were born.

He worked as a general laborer for most of his life.

He is survived by his wife of almost 60 years; sons, Eleuterio and wife, Katherine of Wills Point, Magdeleno and wife, Sandy of Myrtle Springs, Homero and wife, Mireya of Tulsa Okla., Antonio and wife, Savannah of Mexico and Ruben of Mexico and wife, Laura of Edgewood; daughters, Adela and husband, Herlindo of Mexico, Minerva of Mexico, Doreyla and husband, Reginaldo of Brazil, Dominga and husband, Tony of Pittsburgh and Esperanza and husband, Eloy of Ben Wheeler; 44 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren and numerus nephews, nieces and friends.
