Bookworms It is always a good time to stop and read a book. The Van Zandt County Library offers over 40,000 books free to borrow for all ages. Come in and check one out.

Summer Reading at the Van Zandt County Library at 10 a.m. on June 26, will be ZOOFARI.  Unsure of what that is join us to find out. It will be an hour long and prizes will be available. Story time for toddlers is June 23 and is titled Fishing.

There will be no Summer Reading on July 3, as the library is closed for Independence Day activities around the County.

There are computers available to card holders at the library and they are great if you need information in a hurry.  But there is a whole section of non-fiction books on hundreds of subjects that are informative or just fun.  Look in the Numbers 000-900 for great books to read.

Memorials recently received by the Friends of the Library are as follows, for Beth Whitaker and David Tunnell from Richard and Paula Ray; for Al VanStaveren and Beth Whitaker from David and Susie Pulley and for Beth Whitaker from Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Hilliard.

A library card is a gateway to the world or search your family history at the Library of Genealogy and local history.  “Gen Lib” is an off-site part of the Van Zandt County Library, and is in the Courthouse Annex.

It is your Library and we encourage you to use it.
