Memorial services for Mark David Bryant Sr., 60, of Canton, were held Saturday, Nov. 12, 2016, at Bartley Funeral Home, Grand Saline. Bryant passed away Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2016, in Mansfield. He was born April 14, 1956, in Dallas to Melvin Smallwood and June Cooper Bryant. He lived most of his life in Canton where he graduated from Canton High School, Class of 1975. He was a licensed land surveyor in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and New Mexico. He had been in the surveying industry for over 40 years and was a member of the Texas Society of Professional Surveyors. He was a Sr. RPLS at Topographic Inc. for the last four years. He was a devout Christian; he served many years in Prison ministry and taught youth and adult Sunday school classes and AWANA. He served in the Canton Lion’s Club and also as an assistant Boy Scout Master. He loved the outdoors and hunting and fishing with his boys. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Rachel and Martha Bryant.
Survivors include his wife, Susie Bryant of Canton; sons, Mark David Bryant Jr. of Los Angeles, Calif., Tyrel Evans and wife, Tiffany of Grand Saline, Kyle Bryant and wife Page, Stephen Joel Bryant, and Asa Evans and wife, Brooke, all of Canton; daughter, Sally Jane Evans of Grand Saline; brothers, Alan Bryant and wife Ann of Albania, and Matt Bryant and wife Mitra of Richmond, Va.; sister, Denise Snow and husband Mike of Mansfield; eight grandchildren, Cyleigh Bryant, Taytym Evans, Wyatt Bryant, Teegyn Evans, Hoyt Walker Evans, Gunter Bryant, Cord Bryant Maciel and Scarlett Joel Bryant; and numerous other relatives and friends.
