Services for Gaines Ted Huson, Jr., 49, of Van, were held Sunday, Dec. 11, 2016, at Eubank Funeral Chapel in Canton, with Bro. Donnie Herring officiating.

Interment followed in Prairie Springs Cemetery in Ben Wheeler.

Mr. Huson passed away at his home Dec. 7, 2016.  He was born Feb. 24, 1967, in Houma, La. to Gaines Ted Huson Sr. and Jane Catherine Babin Huson. 

He served two years in the Army. He had worked at the Walmart Distribution Center for the past 15 years.  He enjoyed going kayaking with his son, fishing and spending time outdoors.

He was preceded in death by his father; grandmother, Lola Fike; and his uncle Chucky.

Survivors include his mother, Jane Catherine Huson of Canton; wife, Lisa Harley Huson of Van; daughters, Holly Roblis and husband, Alex of Shreveport, Christina Deaver and husband, Barry of Forney, Christal Koonce and husband, Tony of Canton, Breanna Ming and husband, Jeremy of Van; sons, Elias Huson of Canton, Christopher Hammack and wife, Karen of Edgewood, and Chris Wade Johnson Jr. of Edgewood; sisters: Patricia Ranne and husband, Mark of Canton, and Connie Wilson of Ben Wheeler; brothers, Michael, Brian, Kevin and Chris Huson and wife, Holly, all of Canton; sister-in-law, Trena Harley Brand of Fruitvale; 10 grandchildren, Bryce and Tyler Hammack, Dylan and Ryder Johnson, Bailey, Kolten and Tommy Koonce, Kelso and Natalie Brown, and Shell-lee Ming; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. 

Pallbearers were Elias Huson, Brian Huson, Chris Huson, Kevin Huson, Michael Huson, Christopher Hammack and Chris Johnson, Jr.  Honorary pallbearer was Andy Cook.
