Golfers compete at Polar Bear Classic

The Canton boys and girls golf teams traveled to Athens Country Club Feb. 13 to compete at the Polar Bear Classic. Both teams played exceptionally well, with the top individual finishers in each division.  

In the boys division, Matthew Allen finished as first medalist with a 79 and Will Huddle finished as second Medalist with 87.

The boys team will compete again next week in a two-day invitational at Garden Valley Country Club hosted by Lindale.

In the girls division, Mila Harrison carded a career-low 96 to take first place medalist honors. The girls will play again February 27 at Hideaway Lake.

Coach Paige Peace James stated, "We're still very early in the season and to see these low scores is remarkable. I am eager to see how the season progresses and how well the teams compete!"
