The Canton Eagles stayed in county most of last week, competing four times over three days at this year's Grand Saline Baseball Tournament.
Canton played at least once each day of the event, opening play March 2 with a 10-1 loss to Sunnyvale.
The Eagles took an early lead, scoring once in the bottom of the second on a Tyler Massey RBI single. Sunnyvale evened the score at 1-1 in the top of the third.
The game had all the makings of a pitcher's duel until the Raiders broke through with nine runs in the top of the sixth to open up the contest.
Canton finished with five total hits in the contest, including a double by Blayne Clower, and singles by Simon Miller, John Adams, Cade Shaw and Tyler Massey.
