Sellers and Madison Mitchell – placed third in the area and competed in the
State CDE at Texas Tech.
The spring semester is incredibly busy for all students and members of the Canton FFA Chapter are no exception.
Throughout the spring, members have competed in various contests all over the state, including the Houston Livestock Show, McClennon County College, Tarleton State University and Stephen F. Austin State University in order to prepare for the area qualifying events, which would hopefully provide them the opportunity to compete at the state level.
Canton FFA has been represented by a Veterinary Science Team made of Allie Crossland, Katie Bateman, Matthew Delbert and Torey Valentine.
The Horse team consisted of Mackenzie Oliver, Zayda Chavarria, Logan Nace and Taryn Maddox.
Jeremy Dickerson, Abby Sellers and Briana Cox made up the Farm Business Management team.
The Floriculture team was made of Morgan McClenney, Megan Gebauer and Lindsie Heffington.
The Milk Quality Products team, made up of Jackson Heard, Cameron Sullivan, Roxana Govea and Gewn Rockey placed 10th at area level competition.
