Family Auto Credit donates to yard sale proceeds to Vets Memorial
Family Auto Credit provided Dan Catania a check for $500 as the proceeds from the company’s first “Semi-Annual Amazingly Stupendous Community Yard Sale.”
"We’re pleased by the response to our first community yard sale and the ability to present this check to the Veterans Memorial,” said Christopher Inman, managing partner of Family Auto Credit. “We hope that soon the total amount needed to complete and endow our impressive tribute to veterans is finally in the bank.”
Family Auto Credit opened its doors at Hwy. 64 and I-20 last fall, and has become an active member in the Canton and Van Zandt Community. The Van Zandt County Veterans Memorial is one of the finest in the nation, Inman said, and its directors are seeking to complete the funding of a custom statue and an endowment for long-term maintenance.
Catania, a member of the board of directors for the memorial, said the memorial board is grateful for Family Auto Credit’s support. “We are appreciative of the ongoing support of Christopher and his team,” Catania said, “and we encourage other local businesses to find such creative ways to help us complete this project and funding.
Inman said the company plans another sale in the fall. “We’ll have another, much larger yard sale in October, and encourage everyone to reserve a space now on our website or Facebook page,” he said. “Spaces are free and we’ll allot them on a first-come, first-served basis. Proceeds from the October event will also go to support our county memorial. ”
