ETMC seeks community input on health needs

Online survey available through July 31

The East Texas Medical Center Regional Healthcare System has embarked on a process to identify the health needs of the communities it serves and is seeking the public’s assistance.

ETMC is asking members of the community at-large (age 18 and older) to complete a short, online survey that asks questions about access to doctors and health information, as well as health status and medical issues of concern to them and their communities.

Survey participants are asked to provide their name and contact information in order to be entered in a drawing for prizes, including the grand prize of an Apple iPad. However, all responses are confidential and names are not associated with survey responses.

The online survey is part of a larger community health needs assessment undertaken by ETMC. Results from the online survey will be coupled with information gleaned from stakeholder interviews in ETMC home communities and data gathered from other sources, including public health information. The 2015 assessment process will help ETMC better identify health and wellness needs in East Texas and outline action steps as part of its ongoing community benefits plan.
