Aduddell named dentist of the year

Ann Aduddell

The East Texas Dental Society recently named Canton dentist Ann Aduddell as its 2015 Dentist of the Year.

Aduddell practices at Mill Creek Dental.

She grew up in Mesquite and began practicing dentistry in Plano. In 1999, she and her family relocated to Canton to her in-laws old homestead.

She is a graduate of Baylor University in Waco and later served four years in the U.S. Navy, first as an intelligence officer before moving to Naval Control of Shipping.

ETDS was founded in 1931 and is the local component of a tri-partite organization consisting of the Texas Dental Association and the American Dental Association.  Representing the third district of the TDA, ETDS provides opportunities for professional growth and development and promotes the ethical practice of dentistry, according to information from the organization.  “We strive to be a strong advocate of dentists’ rights,” Aduddell said. “Since there is strength in numbers, our goal is to serve as the official spokesperson for the East Texas dental professional.”
