Gale Tawater

1950-2015

Services for Cecil Gale Tawater, 65, of Canton were held Monday, July 20, 2015, at the Eubank Funeral Chapel in Canton, with Bro. Ronnie Daniell officiating. 

Interment was in Haven of Memories Memorial Park.

Mr. Tawater passed away Thursday, July 16, 2015, in Tyler.  He was born March 27, 1950, in Tyler to Cecil J. and Zelma Pruiett Tawater. 

Gale was a Methodist by faith.  He retired after 32 years with TxDOT.  Gale loved to spend time outdoors doing such things as fishing, collecting rocks, arrow heads and seashells, spending time with his dog, trips to the beach in Galveston and traveling to Oklahoma.  Gale also loved spending time with his family.  Mr. Tawater was a volunteer fireman for over 20 years with the Canton Fire Department.

Gale is preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Tawater and his father.

Mr. Tawater is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Ginger and Brad Blurton; son, Bart Tawater; granddaughter, Jade Blurton and Christopher Pinson; great-granddaughter, Sadie Pinson; mother, Zelma Tawater; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Bobby English; and nieces and nephews.
