Keeping a stocked honey bee pantry

Have you taken time to inspect your honey bee hives?
If yours are like many others in the area, there is very little if any honey to remove. That creates a huge problem for your bees now and for the
winter ahead.
The area is fortunate to have received enough rain to fill the lakes and water ponds. Rains timed perfectly to wash away nectar in enough flowers to limit the amount of nectar field honey bees collected.
“The knee jerk” reaction by many beekeepers is to “rob” their hives of precious honey stores and feed them sugar syrup (50 perfect sugar and 50
perfect water) to the detriment of their honey bees. No way, no how is sugar syrup as nutrient rich with a variety of amino acids, enzymes, minerals, sugars, and vitamins, required to create and tomaintain healthy honey bee population.
