Eagles set for first scrimmage

Players went through several passing drills during the early parts of workouts on Aug. 4. Canton is set to scrimmage against Mt. Vernon at home on Aug. 15, and on the road in Edgewood on Aug. 20.
The opening kickoff of the 2015 Canton football season continues to draw closer this week with the Eagles set to test themselves against Mt. Vernon in a scrimmage at Norris Birdwell Stadium on Aug. 15.
On Canton’s media day (Aug. 8), Coach Robert Ivey was quick to praise the team’s work through the first week of two-a-days. Ivey stated, “We’re six days in and for six years being here this is the best first week we’ve ever had. I really do. Our kids have showed up with a great attitude and great work ethic. I’m just excited about the effort and attitude more than anything.”
