Main Street movies continue with ‘Planes: Fire & Rescue’
The Canton Main Street summer outdoor movie series continues this week with ‘Planes: Fire & Rescue’ sponsored by Hilliard’s Furniture.
The movie will start at dark on Friday, Aug.14, across from the Plaza Theater in downtown Canton.
“There will be firetrucks on the scene so bring the little ones out to take a look at the firetruck and possibly get hosed down,” said Austin Melton, Canton Visitor’s Bureau coordinator.
The movie location is across from the Plaza Theater, 119 N. Buffalo St.
The full length motion picture will start at dark, which is about 8:30 p.m. Concessions will be available including hotdogs, popcorn, candy and soft drinks. All proceeds go to the Canton Main Street Program, which helps with the revitalization of the downtown area.
“Come cool off and watch a great movie with your family and friends,” Melton said. “All you need to bring is yourself, a friend and a lawn chair.”
The next movie will be Sept. 4 when “The Blind Side will be shown and that evening has been designated a “Date Night,” Melton said.
