‘The Locker Room Show’ returns Monday, Aug. 24 on KMOO

 KMOO (99.9 FM) in Mineola will once again be broadcasting “The Locker Room Show” as part of its high school football coverage beginning Monday, August 24.

The show, which airs from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. every Monday night during the high school football season, originates from a local restaurant in the KMOO listening area. The season premiere of “The Locker Room Show” Monday, August 24 will take place at Wing Dingers in Mineola.

The program features recaps of the previous week’s high school football action in East Texas and looks ahead to the upcoming week’s matchups. Interviews with players and coaches from the town that the show is originating from that week are also featured.

David Barber, sports correspondent for Van Zandt Newspapers L. L. C., joins KMOO sports director and play-by-play broadcaster Clayton Neville and KMOO color commentator Larry Smith as hosts of the “The Locker Room Show.”

The show also features sound bites, analysis and perspective from players, coaches and the KMOO sports crew. Fans and cheerleaders are encouraged to come out and show their support during the program.
