Mathea Guild holds meeting
There were 17 members and one guest present at the Mathea Guild meeting held Nov. 12 at the Van Zandt County Library.
President Rose Dearman welcomed everyone and a business meeting was held. Judy Chitty gave the treasurer’s report and SecretaryTrina Harris read the minutes of the October meeting. Ann Russell introduced the speakers.
Sam and Crystal Mayor from the East Texas Crisis Center and Children’s Advocacy Center gave the members information and updates regarding the center and the help that is needed.
Refreshments were furnished by Susan Flynn.
The Mathea Guild meetings are held the second Thursday of each month beginning in September and ending in May of each year.
Mathea Guild has kept the same motto “to learn in any matter.”
The next meeting will be held Dec. 10 at the Victorian Tea Room in Mabank. Guest are welcome, organizers said.
