Services for Lela Mae Mills were held Dec. 1, 2015, at Anderson Clayton Brothers Chapel in Kemp with Mr. Ken Maddox officiating. Interment followed the service at Shiloh Cemetery in Kemp.

Mrs. Mills was born April 8, 1923, in Kemp to parents Henry Clay Melton and Rosie Elizabeth Collier and entered into eternal rest Nov. 29, 2015, at the age of 92.

She loved being a mother, caring for her kids and others. She enjoyed sewing, playing cards and watching westerns. She loved raising cows and baby calves and also loved attending cattle sales. She was a faithful member of the Edgewood Church of Christ. She was a loving and caring lady who will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, T.B. Mills; daughter, Elizabeth Mills Rich; granddaughters, Robin Holland Schaufel and Angela Michelle Rich; and two sisters and one brother.

She is survived by her daughter, Charlotte Holland and husband Jimmy of Edgewood; daughter, Mary Gaugler and husband Wayne of Bedford; grandchildren, Phillip Rich, Jennifer Martinez and Nicholas Gaugler; great-grandchildren, Taylor Rich, Elizabeth Martinez, Sean Martinez and Charlotte Gaugler; brother, Erman Melton of Terrell; numerous nieces, nephews; and other loving family members and many more friends.
