Christmas Dinner for all at Canton Masonic Lodge

The Canton Masonic Lodge has been preparing Christmas Dinner at the Lodge since the mid-80s. Every year since, they have invited everyone to come and enjoy a free Christmas meal with friends and neighbors.

Some thought the meal was for the poor or disenfranchised, but it was never intended to be exclusively for the poor. The meal is for anyone who would like to come and have dinner with others.

Perhaps there are those alone for the holiday and don’t have the desire to prepare a big meal. Christmas is a time to give thanks for a lot of things, including friends and neighbors who enjoy getting together for a meal and fellowship.

The Masons will begin serving their annual traditional Christmas meal from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday December 19. Carry outs will be available, however home deliveries will not be available this year due to a shortage of manpower.

Please stress that donations will be accepted but are not at all required. It is also important to know that all donations will be used for other charities of the Masons including Christmas baskets for shut-ins in December.

The Canton Masonic Lodge is located at 1284 W. Dallas St., near the Justice Center on Hwy. 64 west of Canton.
