1927-2016

 

Margaret Riley Crocker was born Aug. 1, 1927, in Myrtle Springs.

She died March 2, 2016, surrounded by her loving husband, Ralph Harrison Crocker; children, Stephen Leonard Crocker, Paul Riley Crocker, Ralph Harrison Crocker Ill and Amelia Crocker Irsik.

Mrs. Crocker was preceded in death by an infant son, Stephen Harrison Crocker; her parents, Andrew Jackson Riley and Mattie Durell Riley; and a brother, Jack Howell Riley.

She was a loving and proud grandparent of Clinton Andrew Crocker, William Tyler Crocker, Audrey Hannah Crocker, Meredith Elayne Crocker, Riley William Crocker, Zachary Lawrence Irsik, Kathryn Nicole Irsik and Matthew Harrison Irsik.

She was a teacher representing the fifth generation in her maternal line. She spent most of her adult years as a loving wife and mother, and was well respected in her later teaching career as an educator working with dyslexic children at the Highland Park Mediative School. She had many friends there and loved her work with young children and her association with fellow teachers.

Mr. and Mrs. Crocker recently celebrated their 64 wedding anniversary in Austin.

Funeral Mass was held March 7, 2016, at the St. Therese Catholic Church, 14786 FM 859 in Canton. Burial was immediately following at the Haven of Memories Memorial Park, entrance from Hwy. 64 in Canton.
