Cheryl Nations Thompson, 69, of Grand Saline, died April 6, 2016, at a Tyler hospital. 

Mrs. Thompson was born Dec. 10, 1946, in Grand Saline to Relman and Erlene Null Nations.  She spent all of her life in Grand Saline where she was a homemaker and a member of Riverside Mission Church. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; and grandchildren, Brandi LaRoe, Blake Strickland, Bruce Strickland and Colton LaRoe.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Kevin and Wendy Strickland of Grand Saline and Scott and Febe Strickland of Karnes City; daughter, Renae LaRoe of Grand Saline; brother, Ronnie Nations of Kemp; five grandchildren, Matt and Kelsi LaRoe, Biff and Mickie Strickland, Sydney Strickland, Stephanie and Trevor Darcey and Dalton and Ashley LaRoe; two great-grandchildren, Chesni LaRoe and Emersyn LaRoe; and numerous other relatives and friends.

The family conducted services for her April 13, 2016, at Riverside Mission Church.
