Chamber talk centers on business

The Canton Texas Chamber of Commerce held its quarterly luncheon last week at The Bunker at the Van Zandt Country Club.

According to information from the organization, CTCC lunch topics are “designed to bring programs to help its members be more successful by providing them the tools and resources they need to thrive in today’s business world.”

Last week’s lunch topic was on identifying the differences between a DBA and LLC. Guest speaker Robert Cluck presented these two options to chamber members to help them determine which business type would be suit them and how to identify the benefits of both.

“We had a great turnout with over 50 in attendance who learned everything you wanted to know about DBA vs. LLC from Robert Cluck,” said CTCC Chair Lace Deibert. “It was a very informative discussion and a great time for questions. We are grateful to have such a variety of businesses within our membership that can network together for the common good of everyone's business.”

The luncheon was sponsored by Texas Bank and Trust in Canton and door prizes were donated by Higginbotham Brothers, Paper Sack Promotionals and State Rep. Dan Flynn's office.

The next CTCC Quarterly Lunch will be held at noon Nov. 1 at The Bunker. The guest speaker will be East Texas Council of Governments’ Kerry Bashaw who will provide chamber members with direction on how to navigate the world of small business loans.
