Services for Faye Baker, 90, were held Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2016, at Hilliard Funeral Home with Pastor Bennie Bowles and Assistant Pastor Steve Taylor officiating.
A private family graveside service was held at Colfax Cemetery.
Mrs. Baker was born Jan. 5, 1926, in Wills Point to Johnnie and Cleio Miles McBride. She passed away Oct. 15, 2016, at The Hospice of East Texas in Tyler. She was a graduate of Wills Point High School and worked in a number of nursing homes and restaurants through the years.
She married Henry Ray Baker on Dec. 5, 1973. She loved going to First Monday, and selling and trading books. She was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie Estes McBride and Willie Cleio Miles McBride; brother, Ocie McBride; and sisters, Edna Farris and Mary Jean Smith.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Henry Baker of Colfax; son, Randy Mislivets and wife Kathy of Wills Point; grandchildren, Randy Mislivets Jr. and wife Jeanne of Wills Point, and Amy Whitaker and husband Clint of Fruitvale; great-grandchildren, Ashley and Katy Mislivets of Wills Point, and Cameran Goode, Cash Whitaker, and Cannon Whitaker, all of Fruitvale; brother-in-law, Milton Leo Baker of Canton; sisters-in-law, Clara Mae Worth of Forney, and Bonnie Head and Maxine Sport of Grand Prairie; and numerous nieces and nephews, including Milton Wayne Baker of Canton.
