VZC Library releases holiday schedule

As Christmas and the New Year holidays approach, the library's organized programs take a break. Storytime will resume in January as well as Dog Days.

The Friends of the Library will hold the January 2017 meeting at 10 a.m. Jan. 9.

Friends of the Library are still taking donations for the Christmas Bow Project, an annual fundraiser to maintain and improve the children's section. All the librarians and volunteers wish a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to the patrons of the library and citizens of Van Zandt County.

There are some schedule changes coming at the end of December. Beginning Dec.19, the library will be closed and will reopen Jan. 3, 2017. These days include both holidays and staff work days, so make sure you check out some good reading material to enjoy during this time.
