VZC Commissioners approve multiple requests

Van Zandt County Commissioners breezed through a 20-plus item agenda as they approved a number of requests during their Jan. 24 regular session.
Commissioners approved a resolution authorizing the county juvenile probation department to submit an application for the Vocational/Occupational Initiatives Creating Employment (VOICES) grant to the office of the Governor’s criminal justice division for 2017/2018.
A resolution authorizing submission of the 2017/2018 Texas Community Development Program application was requested by the Fruitvale Water Supply.
The agreement between the county and the Fruitvale Water Supply Corporation was approved by the commissioners.
The commissioners authorized VZC Judge Don Kirkpatrick to enter into an agreement with the Little Hope-Moore Water Supply Corporation to provide services addressed in the Texas Community Development Block Grant (TxCDBG) Small Towns Environment Program (STEP) application and commit additional project funding if needed.
