Wednesday Study Club news
The Wednesday Study Club held a meeting Jan. 25 at the Blackwell House in Canton.
The guest speaker was Sue Richards, travel agent, speaker, writer, and storyteller.
“She is known among many of her admirers as “Sunshine Sue.” She has traveled most areas of the United States as well as many countries around the world. She doesn’t just see a place; she absorbs its culture, its country side, its history, and most of all, its people. Richards always makes an effort to meet, talk with and visit people wherever she goes, and she has made an exciting and growing variety of friends along the way. In her career as a travel agent, she plans exciting and intricate trips for her clients and often leads groups on their journeys. She sometimes travels alone, and she says some of her most memorable trips have been on her own,” said Study Club news.
Refreshments were prepared by hostesses Marilyn Brockman, Pat Mullin and Jimmie Nixon.
The next meeting will be Feb. 22 at the Tea Room in Mabank. Hostesses will be Jill Godwin and Barbara Turner.
