Lifters compete at Wildcat Invitational

Lifters representing more than 20 East Texas schools, including Canton, made their way to Rains Feb. 4 to compete Emory Rains Wildcat Powerlifting Meet. The Canton girls team finished third overall in their division, while the boys team finished eighth overall.

Individual girls results included:

-97 lb. weight class: Madison Baugh, second place, 450 lbs. lifted

-114 lb. weight class: Ashley Riffe, third place; 520 lbs. lifted; Kydralynne Shook, fourth place, 450 lbs. lifted

-123 lb. weight class: Carla Perez, third place, 520 lbs. lifted; Brynna Mackling, eighth place, 395 lbs. lifted

-132 lb. weight class: Evie Davis, sixth place, 460 lbs. lifted

-148 lb. weight class: Megan Gebauer, eight place, 655 lbs. lifted; Patricia Hernandez, ninth place, 630 lbs. lifted; Kylee Crist, 13^th place, 550 lbs. lifted; Sydney Ellis, 17^th place, 455 lbs. lifted
