Services for Frank Corry Sr. were held Thursday, Feb. 23, 2017 at Lakeside Baptist Church in Canton, with Bro. Jerry Truett officiating, under the direction of Hilliard Funeral Home. 

Visitation was held at the church before the service. He was laid to rest at Hillcrest Cemetery in Canton.

Frank Augustus Corry Sr. was born July 21, 1933 in Huntsville and passed away at the age of 83 on Feb. 21, 2017, in Canton. 

He had been a resident of Canton all of his life, and was a member of Brookside Baptist Church.  He enjoyed fishing and hunting, and was self-employed.  He, along with his wife, Norma, opened the first mobile home sales business in Canton.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifton White Corry Sr. and Thelma Lometa Swepston Corry; brother, Cliff Corry, Jr.; and sister, Florence Prescott.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Norma Jean Corry of Canton; four children and their spouses, Frank Jr. and Theresa Corry of Wills Point, Diane and Brian Turman of Lufkin, Donna and Gary Drake of Wills Point, and Brenda and Bud Sanford of Canton; two sisters, Mary King-Killpatrick of Athens and Martha Flemmons of Krum; seven grandchildren, Mike Corry, Molly Smith, Mandy Haynes, Jenny Jontra, Sara Jones, Breanne McDaniel, and Bryce Sanford; and great-grandchildren, Becca, Gus, Aubrey, Eli, Darcey, Landrey, Kellan, and Baby Jones.
