Hunter Moore picked up the win for Canton against Mabank March 25, allowing no earned runs in a 12-1 Eagle victory.
The Canton Eagles went a perfect two for two last week, getting a jump in District 13-4A play with wins over both the Emory Rains Wildcats and Mabank Panthers.
Canton began district play on the road against Rains, scoring two runs in the top of the sixth inning of a 5-4, come from behind win over the Wildcats.
The Eagles looked to be on their way to a big offensive night, scoring three times in the top of the first to take early command of the game on an RBI groundout by John Adams, an RBI double by Simon Miller and an RBI single from Cade Shaw.
Rains would proceed to get all their offense in the contest during the fourth and fifth innings, scoring four runs combined to take a 4-3 lead on the Eagles.
Canton bounced back quickly, drawing even on an RBI double from Simon Miller before taking the lead for good on a sacrifice fly from Johnnie Krawietz during the top of the sixth.
