Chili brings wagging tails to The Mountain
Police, firemen, therapy dogs, pirates, princesses, great music and a buffalo headlined the 18th annual Buffalo Girls Hotel CASI Chili cook-off.
The annual event raised over $100,000 for various charities for the past 18 years and has done so with the help of Chili Appreciation Society International whose motto is “cooking chili for charity.”
The organization searches for various locations to hold chili cook-offs so that CASI cooks can collect point to compete the in the Terlingua, Texas cook-off. The competition at Terlingua can be described as “the Super Bowl of all cook-offs”
The Mountain is proud to have had CASI be here for 18 years and we want to especially thank Neta Rohr of CASI for all her hard work these past 18 years with this cook-off and we look forward to 18 more.
