Commissioners receive gift from Veterans Memorial Board
The Van Zandt County Veterans Memorial Board presented a picture to the Van Zandt County Commissioners Court April 11 during the commissioners’ court meeting.
Members of the Van Zandt County Veterans Memorial Board expressed their appreciation to the VZC Commissioners Court by presenting a special framed picture during the commissioners regular meeting April 11.
“A few months ago, our board made the decision to recognize all of the organizations who have given us such tremendous support all over the county,” said VZC Veterans Memorial Board member Cary Hilliard. “We decided to get a nice picture of the Memorial and get it framed. We are here to announce that the first recipient of this framed picture is the Van Zandt County Commissioners Court. The county has supported us from day one and continues to support us today. The sheriff’s department and the probation department have also been very helpful to us and we will be recognizing them individually at a later time.”
