Derby days at the 2017 Canton, Texas Chamber of Commerce awards dinner

Ben Carter of Buttermilk’s was named the Best Dressed Man April 22 with his flamingo suit.

The 2017 Canton, Texas Chamber of Commerce community Awards dinner was held at Twin Lakes Golf Course Thursday, April 20.

The theme was “Canton Derby,” and event attendees dressed to the nines with derby hats and bowties, summer dresses and suits.

Canton Red Coat Ambassadors were on hand to seat attendees and also to sell Big Spender raffle tickets.

Dinner was catered by Villa Montez of Tyler with cakes from Brookshires rounding out the dessert portion of the menu.

A big hit was the photo booth, sponsored by Texas Bank and Trust. Live music was provided by the band Daniel. Master of Ceremonies for the night was David Barber of the Canton Herald.

Attendees had a chance to purchase coveted tickets for the Big Spender tickets. The winners were:

$2,500 - Epic Industrial Inc.

$1,000 - Epic Industrial Inc.

$500 - Mary Lynn Baugh
