Memorial services for Jack Everett Lamb, 89, of Myrtle Springs, were held Thursday, May 18, 2017, at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton with Chaplain Shane Barnes officiating.
Interment followed at Myrtle Springs Cemetery. He passed away peacefully May 15, 2017, at his home in Myrtle Springs.
He was born March 23, 1928, in Mabank to Thomas Everett Lamb and Dovie Isadora Greenlee.
He grew up in Kaufman County before moving to Dallas. He joined the Army at age 17 and served in Germany until he was discharged in 1947. He worked for Dallas Airmotive as an airplane mechanic for several years before retiring to Myrtle Springs. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, playing dominoes and listening to old music.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Dovie Lamb; wife, Peggy Lamb; son, Michael Everett Lamb; grandson, Bryon Vaughan; brothers, Mack Lamb, Bobby Lamb, and James Lamb; and sisters, Peggy Riddle and Margie Wallace.
He is survived by his daughters, Elizabeth Lamb, Alisha and Alan Vaughn, and Regina and Gerald Weaver; son, Timmy Lamb; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and sister, Gail Morris.
