Larry Zapalac

1949-2017

 

Larry Christopher Zapalac, 68, Canton, passed away on May 30, 2017 in Tyler.

He was born March 21, 1949 in Waco to Henry Zapalac and Johnnie Johnson Zapalac. He served as a US Marine during the Vietnam War, where he received a Purple Heart and other medals.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Rick Huston.

Survivors include his loving wife, Tina Zapalac of Canton; brother, Robin Zapalac and wife, Kathy; mother-in-law, Della Campbell; sister-in-law, Treva Riggs and husband, Steve; Mamie Childs and husband, Luther; nephews, Billy and Paul Penick; mother-in-law, Della Campbell; nieces, Rebekah Zapalac and Danielle Hull and husband, Michael; and various other relatives and friends.

A celebration of Larry’s life will be held June 10 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at 507 East Elm St., Canton.
