Don Davis

1940-2017

Services for Don "Pappy" Davis, 77, of Canton were held Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2017, at Eubank Funeral Chapel with Bro. Steve Glosup officiating. Interment followed in Haven of Memories. Mr. Davis passed away Saturday, Aug. 12, 2017, in Canton.

He was born Feb. 7, 1940, in Canton to Ebb Riley and Jewel Marie Malone Davis. He was a Christian by faith. He lived most of his life in Canton. He enjoyed going to the sale barn, bailing hay, hanging out at Free State Storage and spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, James.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Linda Davis; son, Donny and Nanolyn Davis and daughter, Dana and Mike Whitus, all of Canton; five grandchildren, Brandon Whitus, Dustin and Jamie Davis, Daron Davis, Bliss and Bubba Harris and Macy and Zach Phillips; eight great-grandchildren, Braleigh, Paisleigh, Camden, Parker, Rylee, Callie, Aisley and Hayes; sister, Daphine Evans of Austin; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Brandon Whitus, Dustin Davis, Daron Davis, Bubba Harris, Zach Phillips and Shannon Davis. Honorary pallbearers were RC Pennington, Donald Lee Key, Earl Curry and Mark Ranne.
