Crash calms life of motorcyclist

Ethan Landaverde, 27, of Van was killed in a motorcycle crash around 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 20.
Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers were called to a scene of a two-vehicle accident on Farm-to-Mark 17, in Van Zandt County, four miles northeast of Grand Saline.
According to preliminary crash reports, Joshua Wintters, of Ben Wheeler, was traveling east on FM 17 towing a trailer and attempted to turn right into a private drive when his towed unit was struck from behind by Landaverde, who was driving a 2003 Suzuki motorcycle.
Landaverde was transported to Texas General Hospital in Grand Saline where he was later pronounced deceased.
Wintters was not injured in the crash.
