Funeral services for Mary Jo Thompson, 87, of Canton, were held Sunday Aug. 27, 2017, at Eubank Funeral Home.

Graveside services followed at Collinsville Cemetery in Collinsville.

Mrs. Thompson passed away Aug. 24, 2017, in Tyler.

She was born June 23, 1930, in Vernon to Thomas and Lula James Roberts.

She was a mother, friend and confidante to her children.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 45 years, Elvin J. Johnson; daughter, Patricia Ann; and granddaughter, Mary Jo Johnson.

Survivors include her husband of 21 years, T.L. Thompson; son, Jerry Johnson and wife, Tookie; daughters, Shirley Butler and husband Dewey, Deborah LaCavera and Darla Degler; stepson, Larry Thompson and wife, Sue; step-grandsons, Kody Thompson and wife Wendy, Jason Thompson and wife, Kristen; granddaughters, Taylor Shaw, Drew McCaffree and Autumn Yeary; grandsons, Cody Lintner, Ryan Johnson, Seth Yeary, Ethan Degler; great-grandchildren, Kendall, Jolee, Violet, Isabellle, James, Parker, and Keller; and step-great-grandchildren, Grace, Hunter and Lille.

Pallbearers for the service were Cody Lintner, Ethan Degler, Jason Thompson and Kody Thompson.
